Olivia's Fight and Lasting Impact Featured in the Media

The Saratoga Springs girls lacrosse team honored the memory of Olivia Allen on Saturday, May 6th during their second annual Lacrosse Out Cancer game against Burnt Hills.

Before the opening whistle, both teams completed 47 passes to each other -- symbolizing the 47 children in the United States who are diagnosed with cancer every day.

40th Annual Dancing in the Woods

Dancing in the Woods is an annual holiday gala that raises money for the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders. The video presentation features two Melodies Center patients, Olivia Allen and Charli Martin. Both girls were diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, in the same week, and as they embarked on their treatment journey, they became best friends.

A 2023 graduate of Saratoga Springs high school, Allen was diagnosed with adult acute lymphoblastic leukemia right around the time she was supposed to be walking across the stage at SPAC.

A standout gymnast and field hockey player during her time with the Blue Streaks, Allen has spent the last few months receiving treatment for cancer and recovering from a stroke.

On Friday, Allen was able to attend the Saratoga Springs field hockey team’s annual Pink Game, which was dedicated to her.
